| Bnai Mitzvah - Bar Mitzvah/ Bat Mitzvah |
 |
The Bar or Bat Mitzvah - jointly referred to as Bnai Mitzvah - refers to the coming of age for a Jewish boy, at 13 years, and a Jewish girl, at 12 years. At this point, in the eyes of Jewish law, a person is responsible for his or her actions, both spiritually, ethically and morally.

To decide an appropriate gift for a Bnai Mitzvah, consider the person's new sense of responsibility towards his or her Jewish obligations.

One of the greatest mitzvahs, or deeds, is the giving of charity. Another mitzvah pertains to the posting of a mezuzah on the doorpost.

Blessing on - and drinking from - kiddush cups are an important part of the Sabbath and the Jewish holidays. Similarly, candlesticks are lit to greet the Sabbath and Jewish holidays.

Kosherline.com offers a large selection of Bnai Mitzvah gifts. To the right are quick links to the categories of gift, discussed above.
